Croatia Blog Series

I kind of already hinted that I would be doing a blog series on my recent vacation in my update post a few weeks ago. I’m excited to officially be kicking off this series to share my adventures with you! Before I dive right into all the details, I thought it would be good to give a little background on why I even chose to go on this trip in the first place, who all went on this trip, and an overview of what to expect from the series of posts that will be released over the net few weeks.

Why Croatia?

For those of you who don’t know I was in a sorority in college. One of the best things that the sorority provided me with in life was my little. The big-little relationship doesn’t have to be something that grows into a great friendship, but I’m so lucky that mine did. I’m going to brag for a second because my entire Tri-Delta family (big, little, and little little) is full of amazingly talented, driven, and successful ladies that I look up to in so many ways. When Kendra, my little, got the chance to move to Ireland for her job this spring I had no choice than to try and visit her during her journey.

Ireland? But this post is titled Croatia… That’s correct. I had been trying to arrange travel plans to go see Kendra with some friends in October, but those plans kind of fell through. After messaging her a  few panicked texts about what to do she suggested I join her in Croatia. Now, I know most people probably had the same reaction I had when that was suggested, which was, “Why Croatia?” Kendra knows me so well because all she had to tell me was that a lot of the scenes from Kings Landing in the popular HBO series Game of Thrones were filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia and I was looking at plane tickets that night. The trip was so much more than just a nerdy whim, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Travel Companions

We had a rather eclectic group that came together for this trip, but every person made the trip even more special to me. I thought that it would be better to tell you about my travel companions now rather than trying to explain them each time they got brought up in stories to come.

Kendra

I already kind of explained my relationship with Kendra in the above paragraphs. She has been such an intricate part of who I am as a person today even though she may not know it.

Josh

Anyone who follows my Instagram knows that Josh is my #mancrushmonday. It was so fun to be able to travel with my significant other across seas.

Kelly

Kelly is my coworker, but only giving her that title would be belittling our friendship. She is by far my best friend in South Carolina as well as my racing partner. She pushes me out of my comfort zone, and challenges me constantly to pursue new adventures in life.

Overview

Right now, I have about 9 different blogs planned out for this series, but I have been playing with the idea of more. Here is kind of an idea on what I’ve got in mind for titles of blog posts. I know it’s vague, but that’s the point. If I give away too much right now then you won’t read the actual posts! I’ll update this list with links to the posts when they have been posted, and if it changes.

I hope you’re looking forward to this series as much as I am. Based on the titles, which post do you think you are most interested in reading? Leave a comment below, and don’t forget to subscribe via email or Bloglovin’ to never miss a post.
