Thanksgiving 2019

Happy Thanksgiving!

Recently, there hasn’t been a lot of time to focus on my hobbies or even friends due to work obligations. Leading up to thanksgiving this year, I have been extremely stressed and anxious. During times like these, it can be easy to get lost in our own shortsightedness, and easy to forget all the things we are blessed with.

I read a blog post one morning that has really helped me through this month. I was bad, and didn’t save the link. It was a post with responses from different people about what they are most grateful for. Sometimes, being enveloped by the thankfulness of others makes it is easier to remind ourselves how truly lucky we are.

Today, I am doing the same thing. I asked a handful of friends and family, last minute, to tell me what they are most thankful for this year. Here are their responses:

In a world where we are driven by the constant pressure to want more more more, the things we are most thankful for always seem to come down to the most basic human needs.

As I sit here and write this, I am most thankful for the life I have been blessed with. There are a lot of things I could use to be ungrateful for in 2019, but with the support of friends and family, I am persevering. I have a job that supports my personal endeavors, a roof over my head, my loving and supporting husband, two wonderful kitties, and the ability to fly home and spend it with my family for this Thanksgiving day. I am also thankful for all of you who take the time to read this small little post. Thank you everyone for helping me endure.

Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for reading. What are you most thankful for today? Leave a comment below, and don’t forget to subscribe via email or Bloglovin’ to never miss a post!
