Top 7 Instagram Support Apps

I’ve been doing a little bit of research into apps recently because I felt like it was time to mix it up a little. Every now and then I get bored using the same apps over and over again. I found a new one for photo editing today, and I thought maybe people would be interested in the apps that I use in conjunction with Instagram. Wouldn’t it be nice if all the cool things that show up on my Instagram feed could be done within one app? Yeah, but that would be too convenient. Here are the ones that I have found to be the most helpful.

I used a photo of my Sailor Neptune cosplay to show you how you can use the different apps. First, the original. You’ll probably get sick of this photo by the end of this, but I really like it!

Square Fit

Square Fit has kind of not been used as much since Instagram did make it possible to post not square photos, but not every photo fits their dimensions. I absolutely hate cropping watermarks out of photos. This app allows me to make sure that I always post the photo so it can be viewed how the photographer intended it to be seen.

Layout

This is one of the few that Instagram promotes that I actually use. I actually used to have a different collage-style app on my phone, but I deleted it after this one came out. I love the simple design of the app itself. Plus it lets you modify the size of the photos rather than making you keep them in a set template size. If I ever have to put together more than nine photos in one collage I’m not sure what I’ll do, but I’ll get to that when the time comes.

Repost

If the name isn’t straightforward enough then I’ll let you know that this is the app you use when you want to repost someone else’s photos to your own feed. Did I mention above that I don’t like not giving credit to the originator of a photograph? My favorite part about this app is that it allows you to add the Instagram account of the person who’s photo you are using.

Prisma

My guilty pleasure. I try my best not to download a lot of apps that are only good for one thing. There are way too many filter apps out there for me to keep up with, but I’ve been on board with Prisma since it got posted in the app store. Who doesn’t want to turn themselves into a classic piece of art? I also feel like this app has way more filters available for free than most filter apps do.

Photoshop Express

I’m a Photoshop girl. Since I learned what graphic design was I’ve had some version of it on every computer I’ve owned. The fact that they have a free photo editing app for phone users to quickly edit photos on their phone makes me so happy. In my opinion it goes a little further than your standard editing features that are available with Instagram. Did I mention it is free? Talk about the cheapest version of Photoshop you’ll ever own.

Canva

Remember how I told you I discovered a new app today? This is the app that sparked this post. I wanted to add some text to a photo to give it that inspirational quote look. After downloading a couple different ones this is the one I ended up liking the best. It has a lot of different layout and font options. You can also customize with colors and so on. Be prepared for more text in my Instagram feed soon. I think.

InsTrack

This app probably won’t be for everybody. There are about 100 apps out there that will help you track your followers. This is the one that I chose a while back when I decided I wanted to be more serious about my Instagram account. A lot of the features aren’t available without paying extra, but the features it offers for free allow me to see how my account is growing. No fancy photo to go along with this one.

What are your favorite Instagram supporting apps? Are you going to try any of these out? Do you already use the ones above? Leave a comment below. Don’t forget to subscribe via email or Bloglovin‘ to never miss a post!

I just downloaded SquareDroid which is pretty much like the 1st app. It’s perfect for sharing cosplay photos and keeping the water mark!
