February 2017 Wrap-up

I realized about two weeks too late that I missed my January wrap-up last month. It is over, and I really prefer to not look back on it. Tomorrow is MARCH! It’s a combinationn of being busy and getting older that the years are starting to fly by, which is why I am filling them with great things now and in the future.

Oh, February. You’ve been great, but I’m not exactly sorry to see you end either. So what have I been up to this month?

A little of my engineer by day coming out as I attended the Photonics West show in San Francisco at the beginning of the month. You think I get my nerd on while cosplaying? Well, you should be happy I keep my optics nerd mostly reserved for catching up with old friends!

One of my favorite couples tied the knot towards the middle of February, and I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid in their wedding. I’m so happy for them, and their wedding has me excited about planning my own over the upcoming months.

I’ve been enjoying a fair amount of hiking, which I truly believe is good for the soul. We have been blessed with extraordinary weather this month, so of course, I had to take advantage of the beautiful outdoors. This selfie was also taken when my cousin and her boyfriend came to visit, which was a great surprise!

I decided it was time to change up my hair color, and thanks to the beautiful Amanda Babb I am now a lovely shade of rose gold. Loving it!

Last, it’s officially con season as I made my second trip to Charleston, SC in one month for Captain’s Comic Expo 2017. This was my second year at this convention, and it is just absolutely the best event to kick off the convention year with.

March will be another work hard, play hard month for me, but I’m trying to stay on top of my priorities. What do you have planned for March? Have any encouraging words for a procrastinator? Leave a comment below, and don’t forget to subscribe via email or Bloglovin‘ to never miss a post.
