Miss Manga Mascara

For years, I have been using Cover Girl mascara. I discovered it in high school, and I loved the look of the container as well as the mascara itself. Lately though, it just hasn’t been doing it for me. If there is one thing I hate it is trying to find something out of my norm for my routine. I think I found a winner though.

I will admit that I totally judge books by their covers. And wines by their labels. And mascaras by their packaging. Now, I won’t make the same mistake twice if it’s bad, but I generally go for shiny things. It’s just good marketing. Since you now know I’m a sellout for things that are pretty, you’ll completely understand why I just couldn’t resist the L’Oreal’s Miss Manga Voluminous Mascara. Look at how cute that packaging is!! Plus, being a cosplayer who loves all things cartoons, I was double intrigued just by the name.

Now the question is, is it good mascara? YES! The first thing I noticed is that the brush was pretty long, and the bristles weren’t so close together that everything just came out a big lumpy mess. I had initially asked some friends in a blogging group if any of them had tried it. Their responses were along the lines of, “Yes, it was good, but too much for everyday use.” Good thing I mainly only wear mascara for going out or for cosplay. It is perfect. You definitely get that wow effect.

It’s about $8 at your normal convenience store. I will definitely be buying this again. They also have a couple other varieties of the Miss Manga line. I’m going to have to try them all.
