Selfie Sunday: June 28, 2015

I get really sad when I don’t take the time to write posts for this blog because it has become one of my stress relievers. It seems like every time I write a Selfie Sunday post I start off by apologizing for being MIA. The only excuse I have to give is that travelling for work really takes it out of me. Luckily, today I got to spend six hours at the airport, and I’ve been writing blog posts like crazy as well as updating my list of blog posts I need to write. I’m feeling a bit more confident about it. Here we go with a fresh start.

  1. I live in a bubble. I am often completely out of the loop on the news unless someone tells me. It is something that is sometimes embarrassing, but sometimes ignorance is truly bliss.
  2. This past week, I flew to Ft. Myers, FL for work. Both of my flights were delayed so bad that I didn’t get to my hotel until 5:15 AM. I had to be ready for appointments at 8AM. I am SO not a morning person.
  3. My best friend and coworker actually stated she thought she hated me for the first six months at the office because I look so scary before I’ve had tea and breakfast in the morning.
  4. I’m writing this on a plane, and I’m really excited because the flight attendant is coming my way with Delta cookies.
  5. Clearly, I must be hungry.
  6. My dad wanted me to learn how to do airbrush artwork for cars. I still (not so) secretly want to learn. I also think it would be fun to learn airbrush makeup.
  7. I think body painting is a very beautiful form of artwork.
  8. I’m sitting next to the engine of the plane, and when the raindrops on the window get to a certain spot the engine causes them to make cool, swirly patterns.
  9. Recently, I discovered that you can attach a frequent flyer program to your Hilton Honors account, and you earn extra miles each time you stay. Oh, did I mention that it comes at no sacrifice of the hotel points you’re earning? It’s all just extra. Sweet deal.
  10. Since my mind is on travel, this week’s selfie brought to you from hotel boredom. I like the way my eyes look in this picture.
