Free Comic Book Day 2015

The comic book world is semi-new to me. I don’t think that makes me any less of a nerd, but it’s a new area of exploration that I’m super obsessed with already. Lucky me, I got to participate in Free Comic Book Day for the first time ever this last Saturday. It was such a good time, and I’m so grateful that the owner of Borderlands invited me to cosplay because I wouldn’t have known that was acceptable otherwise.

Originally, I had a different cosplay in mind, but with the release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron the night before I didn’t think any cosplay was more appropriate than Black Widow. The kids made the whole day worth it. They were so excited to see their favorite lady avenger out for the day. 

Of course, the real reason I went out was to get my free comic books. Borderlands also had sales on everything else in the store all day, which means I walked away with a lot more than just free stuff. Here is a picture of all the loot I brought home with me. I have no self control. You’ll probably hear more about all the stuff in that picture eventually.
